Four shelves for four moods: something to think about, something to chase a score in, something fast, and something turn-based to play against the computer. Each one holds four finished games.

How we sort things

Which category is a game in?

Genre labels get slippery fast, so we use a simple test: what does the game ask of you? If it asks you to think, it is Puzzle. If it asks you to chase a score until you slip up, it is Arcade. If it asks for reflexes measured in tenths of a second, it is Action & Speed. If it gives you turns and an opponent, it is Board & Cards.

A few titles could sit in two places. Merge 2048 has an arcade score chase inside a puzzle, and Lane Racer is technically a racer. We put each game where most people would look for it first rather than where a taxonomy says it belongs — and the search box on the full catalogue ignores categories entirely if you already know the name.

Nothing here involves money or anything you can buy. Scores are points, the only leaderboard is the personal best stored on your own device, and the whole catalogue is free.
