Play Leaf Flip
About Leaf Flip
Reversi on an eight-by-eight board, dressed in green and gold leaves. Sandwich a run of your opponent's pieces and they all turn over, which means the lead swings wildly right up to the last move. Legal squares are highlighted, so the rules stay out of your way while you learn the shape of the game.
How to play
- Each move must trap at least one line of opposing leaves.
- Trapped leaves flip to your colour in every direction at once.
- When neither side can move, the larger colour wins.
Tips from the people who built it
- Corners can never be flipped back. They are worth more than any early lead.
- Do not grab every flip on offer — a big mid-game score often hands over the edges.
- Giving up a turn is sometimes strongest. Fewer pieces can mean more options later.
